Its my Birthday and I feel loved

Few minutes after 11pm, Thursday 30th August 2007(last nite), am lying on my bed staring at the ceiling and just thinking.
Am thinking how in just a few hours, i would be adding another year to my already old age (lol) and how its unlike me not to be ecstatic about it at all. Its funny cos my birthday is usually a big deal for me. In the last five years I have always celebrated-had a party or just invited a few friends over for lunch. I just had to do something everytime, no way I was going to let my special day come and go like dat without making some noise! This year is so different. Am so not feeling this birthday at all. Maybe its true what they say about this things losing their appeal as one grows older. You must know by now that am feeling OLD!

As my birthday approached, lots of friends have been calling to enquire about what the plans were? I guess they are all used to me organizing one shindig or the other. When I tell them 'nothin nothin' they go like "Ah! Ah!, which ones na? No talk that one o!". Sorry for them but I mean it, this time no celebrations. I don’t want to celebrate anything cos I haven't been feeling too happy of late. Two things I want so much in my life right now, It seems i cant get!(Don’t ask me what they are, am not telling).
Oh my! Now am I sounding ungrateful? I hope not. Don’t get me wrong. Am very grateful for life, with the rate of deaths all around, being able to live to see another birthday is a real big deal.

Few minutes to 12midnight,am still awake watching 'Prison break Season 2' I get my first birthday call. Its from F.D. He remembered! Wow!! Its been years since I saw him last. His work demands that he moves around a lot. Now he is in some country in Europe. I am so happy and am screaming at the top of my voice. He tells me that he wanted to be the first to wish me a happy birthday and we do a lil' bit of yakking.

Soon after that first call, the calls start coming in, the text messages too. Friends, Relatives, old school mates even those I haven't spoken with in ages. How did they remember?? Calls, Calls, Text msgs and even more msgs! Guys! Will you let me sleep!?! Am complaining with the widest grin on my face. Kisses, Hugs and Prayers are been sent over the phone. It feels so wonderful to be remembered like this.

Its morning of August 31st, my Birthday and the calls are still coming. My phone is crying for help and am loving the attention.

Am driving out of the gate. Headed for the office. Is dat mum waving at me to stop?? I see her coming. She is limping slightly. That arthritis! God take it away please.
"Nne what will I cook for you this evening. I want to make something special for your birthday"
that's my mum asking.
"Anything will do mum" I reply smiling. God keep this woman alive for me, I beg you. That’s my birthday wish.

Its going to be a busy day for me. I am directing a billboard photography shoot today and that means I will be spending most of the day in the studio. I should be lazing at home, watching movies and munching popcorn, it's my birthday for heaven's sakes! Yea right, Tell my boss that!!
Whats dat? A cake! From who?? My friend CK! Hmmm…. How sweet! A gift too!! Na wa o, only me!!!

Calls, Text messages. They are still coming. Even my Drycleaners called. I hope my phone doesn’t die on me very soon at this rate. Any way am not complaining….its my birthday and i feel loved.

I received some nice text messages and am going to post a few I really loved.

From my friend C:
"If nothing else, we are alive and hopeful of a better tomorrow and so we thank God. May I say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to someone who has taught me that some people are still worthy of trust"

From my brother K:
"To the sister every brother would wish for…to the daughter every parent prays for…to the woman every man hopes to marry. Happy birthday sweet sister"

From my sweet Manda:
"God will bath you with mercy, towel you with love, cream you with honor, cloth you with grace, adorn you with favour and perfume you with success. Happy Bufdei swit!

There are lots more but no time.

The cake I got this morning. Enjoy a slice.

p.s: Do I hear you asking how old I am today?? Ok lets do this….Why not you guys take a guess. Whoever gets it right will get a nice surprise from me. Manda & obi are exempted from this o!
Thanks G and Sparkle for the Birthday posts. Love ya!

Patriotic Princesa,lol.

Me I like my country
I like the lots of people
Everything e dey for Nigeria
Make we join hands to make Nigeria Better

I like am…
I like am…
Oh yes!
Wetin other people dey find, we get am!

Is anyone Nostalgic?
Do you remember that song??
It was kinda popular in the late eighties (lol, am sounding old now, am I?). It was an image building television commercial for Nigeria then. I especially remember it because it was usually run during the famous Television programme-'New Masquerade'(Zebrudaya and Co.) and how i loved that programme then! I remember I used to feel very frustrated anytime they went on commercial breaks, just didn’t understand why they had to disrupt the programme to show those annoying T.V ads and the only one I had patience for then was the song: "I like am, I like am" above. I don’t think it was the message I was interested in then, rather it was the melody that piqued my interest.

Now, I don’t know why but I have had this song on my lips for some days now. I guess its some patriotic consciousness, lol. Whenever I decide to sing on, I cant stop pondering on the following:

Line 1 & 2- Me I like my country
I like the lots of people
1. How many Nigerians really like Nigeria?(Not sure say them plenty o! My palm fit contain them sef.)
2. If we like this country so much, then why the crazy desperation to take off the shores any opportunity we get??(That one na question??? The answer is all around you, just look!)
3. Do we really like ourselves in this country? ( I doubt it. What do u expect anyway? Lots of peeps are frustrated big time!).

Line 4- Everything e dey for Nigeria
Lol! lol! lol!!!
Abeg make una no mind me jare! This one is cracking me up seriously!!
Ok well, maybe then in the eighties it may have been true but now unless 'Everything ' means: Unemployment, Poverty, Lack of infrastructure, Poor Electricity supply, Inflation, Terrible living conditions and so on, they must be joking!

Line 8- Wetin other people dey find, we get am!
This is another funny one!
Please if anyone knows this thing wey other people dey find wey we get for Naija, abeg tell me o!
Maybe them dey find 'Sufferhead', that one abound well well for here.
We are so used to 'Suffering & Smiling' in Naija. I guess that's why we are rated amongst the happiest people in the world.

Line 4- Make we join hands to make Nigeria Better
Oh well, this one is true. No one can make our country better for us. We alone can! Let's stop talking and start doing. Only then can things change for the better.

Another song. I forgot who sang this one.

Nigeria go survive
Africa go survive
Nigeria go survive o!
Africa go survive.

I once read somewhere that there is a difference between 'Surviving' and 'Living'.
To survive is to be able to barely raise one's head above the water. Now I wonder, what happens when that really big wave comes crashing down?

Living on the other hand is getting the best there is out of life. Being able to let your hair down in the wind striding down the beach with a wide smile on your face.

Abeg, we are tired of surviving o! We want to really LIVE!

Hurray! Its my birthday week finally!!
My birthday is Friday, August 31st and am going to be one year older.
I already started getting gifts. Got a lovely bag from my Mum some weeks back and today I received a lovely gift bag (A towel set, Two DVDs, and some nice cards that I read over and over again).
Am expecting my pressies from all of you o! :)

You guys are not going to like this.

I didnt like it too when i heard. God! I feel devastated!! I can only imagine how he will be feeling right now. I cant wait to go home and console him.

I just heard the news from my MUM. Funny i had to hear it from her considering the fact that she is not even in town. Its not surprising though, mumsy loves to check up on her kids every two two mins anytime she is away from home.

No too much tory. Will just take y'all through the conversation.

Me: "Hello Mum"

Mum: "Nne how are you"

Me: "Am fine"

Mum: "Have you been to the hospital yet?"(Last nite when she called, i had told her i wasnt feeling too well and would be going to the hospital this morning)

Me: "Yes i went this morning. Will be going back later in the day to get the tests results"

Mum: "Okay....Have you spoken to Uzee?"

Me:(wondering why i had to speak with someone i saw this morning at home) "No, i havnt. What happened?"

Mum: "I just called him now and he told me he has just been sacked"

Me: "What!, My God!! It cant be true"

Mum: "It is o! He told me he was in the office packing his things. They sacked the two of them, he and the woman"

Me: "Ah! This is not fair! Its not fair at all"

Mum: "Its not fair! Now he has to suffer for helping her. That woman is a witch, If i was in Lagos now i would have gone straight to their office and dealt with her. I will make sure i tear her clothes....."
(When it comes to her own, my mum can do anything o! I dont doubt that she would do what she just said)

Me: "God will pay her back, she will definitely suffer for making the poor boy lose his job"

Mum: "Yes she will, Poor Uzee! To lose his job this way!! Just when he was expecting his confirmation letter!!! Abeg call am now and console him o!"

Me: "I am going to call him rightaway, Dont worry"

So that's the situation now. My brother has just lost his job. He loved that job sooo much. For as long as i can remember, his one dream has always been to become a banker, not like me whose career aspirations always changed with the weather.

How happy we were when he got the job at the bank cos everyone knew it was what he wanted to do. Now barely one year into his dream job, he has lose it because of that conscienceless woman. God punish her!

I mean, did she have to drag him down with her?!?!

Even when she knew she was leaving, she still had a chance to set things right for him but she didnt. Probably she didn't want to be remembered as a LIAR.

I know am ranting but God knows i feel like i could kill her right now.

Thanks to every one who prayed for my brother. Ur prayers werent in vain. Am sure God knows best. He has something better in store for him, its only a matter of time.

I have to go now. I have an appointment with the doctor.

How do i even begin to thank everyone. I read your comments and some how my spirit was lifted. It feels so great to have people around you who care. Am so glad for y'all my blog family.

When i got up from bed this morning. Guess what i did? I went to my brother's room to check if he was there. I was hoping every thing was just a bad dream and i would get there to find that he had already left for work. I knocked. No response. I was about to start thanking God when i heard-Sis, is that you?
My heart broke once again and i walked away after replying that i was just checking up on him.

As at when i left the house he was still in his night clothes. It all felt wrong! I mean usually he left the house even before i woke up(yes o! i sabi sleep well well) and now here i am leaving for work and he was still at home with no plan for work.

Anyway, he is planning to appeal to the bank board(he says one of his bosses advised him to do this) to allow him resign formally instead of being terminated. This will help him get a job in some other bank @ an even higher level. Otherwise, if not he will have to start from the scratch again as an entry level employee. Some good peeps have already volunteered to help him get another job once the bank grants his appeal. '36' has also offered to help, Thank you dear.

For now, lets keep our fingers crossed and hope they grant the appeal. Dont forget to put him in ur prayers too.

p.s: My health is better now, thanks for the concern.

"Ours is a relationship that has grown so deep…
built on love, nurtured with patience
and perfected by God"

That was the couple's (Kelechi & Henry) toast.

This post is dedicated to my friends- Kelechi and Henry who were wedded together on Saturday, March 18th, 2007.
Kelechi and I were roommates my first year in the university and we've remained friends since then.
Kelechi and Henry also met while in the university.

Their 8 years old relationship has come a long way. There were the ups and downs, high and lows but today am happy that they surmounted all the challenges and still made it to the altar.
This is to wish you KC and Henry a marital life full of bliss. I hope years down the line you will still be smiling as wide as you were on your wedding day.

Some of the wedding pics.

All smiles, they seem to be saying-"We are one Finally"

Awwh! Dont i look sweet in pink!!

@ the reception. Giving them a grand welcome!

"Drink my love", KC says to Henry.

A toast to love.

Mmmmm...Let's seal it with a kiss.

Complaints & Thanks.

Would you rather?

You complain "Oh this traffic!";would you rather walk the distance?

You complain "Too much laundry to do!"; would you rather have just one cloth to wear?

You complain "So much work on my desk!";would you rather be jobless?

You complain "I have to do the dishes!";would you rather there was no food to eat?

You complain "This headache! This headache!;would you rather be dead and feel no pain?

You complain "Mum your wahala too much!";would you rather she wasnt there at all?

You complain "Am tired of these phone calls!"; would you rather nobody remembered you?

Thank You Lord.

DEAR GOD: I want to thank You for what you have already done.

I am not going to wait until I see results or receive rewards; I am thanking you right now.

I am not going to wait until I feel better or things look better.

Until people say they are sorry or until they stop talking about me.

Until the pain in my body disappears; until my financial situation improves.

Until the children are asleep and the house is quiet.

Until I get promoted at work or until I get the job.

I am going to thank you right now.

I am not going to wait until I understand every experience in my life that has caused me pain or grief.

I am not going to wait until the journey gets easier or the challenges are removed.

I am thanking you right now. I am thanking you because I am alive.

I am thanking you because I made it through the day's difficulties.

I am thanking you because I have walked around the obstacles.

I am thanking you because I have the ability and the opportunity to do more and do better.

I'm thanking You because FATHER, YOU haven't given up on me.

The first one 'You complain' was for me. Sometimes we are too busy dwelling on the negative to even count our blessings or say 'Thank you, God' for little mercies.

For everyone that reads this post, lets all take a few seconds to thank God for this week gone by and another weekend come.

Have an exciting weekend everyone.

Am sure i will. My friend K.C is wedding tomorrow so am going to go perfect my dancing steps. Am planning to boogie all the way.

Wife Candidates & Guilty Couple.

Wife Candidates

Ikenna wanted to get married. He was having trouble choosing among three likely candidates [Ifeoma, Nneka & Ngozi]. He gives each woman a present of N650,000 and watches to see what they do with the money.

Ifeoma does a total make over. She goes to a fancy beauty salon gets her hair done, new make up and buys several new outfits and dresses up very nicely for the man. She tells him that she has done this to be more attractive for him because she loves him so much.

Ikenna was impressed.

Nneka goes shopping to buy the man gifts. She gets him a new set of golf clubs, some new gizmos for his computer, and some expensive clothes. As she presents these gifts, she tells him that she has spent all the money on him because she loves him so much.

Again, the man is impressed.

Ngozi invests the money in the stockmarket. She earns several times the N650, 000. She gives him back his N650,000 and reinvests the remainder in a joint account. She tells him that she wants to save for their future because she loves him so much.

Obviously, Ikenna was impressed.

He thought for a long time about what each woman had done with the money he'd given her.

Then, he married the one with the biggest boobs.

Men are like that, you know. You can never tell what they base their judgement on.

Quality or quantity.

1. Guys, if you were Ikenna, what would be the yardstick in making your choice? Which of the three would you go for?

2. Babes, if you were one of the 3 candidates. How would you spend your =N=650,000.00?

Guilty Couple
Wife is dreaming in the middle of the night and suddenly shouts: "Up! Quick! My husband is back.

Man gets up, jumps out of the window, hurts himself, and then realizes:

"Damn, I am the husband!"

Who is guilty in this situation?

Comments, anyone?

Hey guys! Its another new week and my prayer for everyone is that by the end of the week we shall all have at least one or two testimonies to tell.

This post i typed last friday but wasnt able to post it due to circumstances beyond my control(lol, cliche i know).

Am not talking about toasting bread or drinking to anything. Toasting in naija parlance simply means a guy trying to chat up/court a babe in view of starting up a love relationship.
Recently, I have noticed a current trend in the toasting style of guys. I call it a trend cos its not just me its happened to, some of my friends have also confirmed its happened to them too. Now what's this new trend, u asking? Ok, here it is-

Your phone rings, it's an unfamiliar number. You answer, its an unfamiliar voice too. Next thing you hear is: "Excuse me, who is this?" Now you are wondering what the hell this is all about. You ask: "Who is this? For God's sake, you called me!" The person at the other line (usually a male voice) says: "Sorry, but I saw this number on my phone and I just wanted to find out who it was since I couldn’t remember…bla bla bla" and he goes on. Next thing he is asking for your name, telling you how you got such a nice voice and how he would love to meet you in person. Sometimes they are lucky and the babe is also willing to meet up but if its someone like me then its their unlucky day.

Sometimes its really someone you know from the past and then you end up re-familiarizing with him or her but most times its just some random guy or babe looking to start up some sort of romance. What's beats me is how they get ones number or maybe they just dial a random number and hope their net catches a BIG fish.

Just this week alone, its happened to me twice. Will tell you about this morning experience. It was after 2am and I was enjoying my sweet sleep when the sound of my phone ringing woke me up. I glanced at the phone, unfamiliar number. I am wondering who could be calling me at such an odd hour. I have a good mind to ignore the call and carry on with my sleep but on a second thought I decide to pick it.

Me (still groggy): "Hello, who is it?"
Caller: Hello, who is this?"
See me see wahala o!, which kain question be this.
Me (fully awake now): "You called me and you don’t know who you called or what"
Caller: "Am sorry, am Honourable ABC, I saw your number on my phone and I was curious to know who had the number"
Me: "Hmm… Ok so its my number"
Caller: "What is your name and where are you right now"
(Am thinking whether to cut off the phone or just humor him a little. Settling for the later, I thought up a name quickly)
Me: "My name is Jane and am in lagos"
Caller: "Ok am in Port-harcourt, Do you come to Port-harcourt regularly?"
Me: "No I don’t, I haven't been to Port-harcourt in 3 years"
Caller: "Am trying to remember where I know you, Are you in school?"
Me: "No am not. I left school some years ago"
Caller: "Which University did you attend?"
Me: " I went to XXX University"
Caller: " Oh! Now am getting it. I had a nephew who went to the same university"
Me: "Hmmm…ok"
Caller: "Are you a beautiful girl"
(Am thinking- Na wetin come bring that one now)
Me: "What has my being beautiful got to do with this?"
Caller: "I used to be in the National Assembly in that state and my nephew used to get me the phone numbers of beautiful girls, I would call them and they would come over and I usually settle them very very well o!"
(What sort of information is this? Who ask you to tell me your dirty secrets?? Hiss)
Me: I don’t think I have ever met you and i don’t know your nephew and now you've remembered how you got my number, I 'll like to go back to sleep. You woke me up"
Caller: "Yes maybe we never met but we can still meet now, Can I send you some money to come down to Port-harcourt?"
Now am thinking, this man must be really stupid, he hasnt met me and is talking about sending me mone to come see him in PH.
Me: "Sorry, am not into that game"
Caller: "What game, am only inviting you to Port-harcourt, I will make it worth your while"
(See this craze man o! he doesn’t understand English or what?)
Me: " I really have to sleep now, am not interested, bye bye"
Caller: "But……"

I dropped the phone. Now I don’t know if the guy was actually saying the truth or if he just tried to dial a random number and got me. It is even more shameful when it’s a girl doing this. Some girls actually seek out some rich dude's phone numbers and go calling in the sexiest voice they can muster. They may be lucky and if the guy is an easy one, something might just brew from there.

One fact is that this trend is becoming more and more rampant and am sure it works for some people if not they wont still be doing it.

Have you ever had one of such calls? Maybe you can share your experience with us.

Not sure if the word-conscienceless is in the dictionary but for me it describes a person without a conscience or one whose conscience is DEAD!

A little child may not be able to (totally) discern between good or bad but as a person grows older and attains reasoning, they know when they are doing something wrong/right.

A person's conscience is his/her first judge. If one's conscience is alive, that person is feels bad/guilty when he does something bad (relative though) but for someone whose conscience is dead and long buried, he usually cares less about his actions. As long as he is happy, every one else can be damned.

My brother's job is at stake!
Cos he was being a nice guy to a conscienceless woman.

My brother works in the Credit department of a bank in Nigeria. They are in charge of giving credit facilities to the bank's customers.
His boss-a woman is in charge of allocating this credit and inputting certain confidential information into the bank's system. According to the bank's policy, she alone is to know the system password at any point in time.

Now, I don’t know if she was being plain lazy or maybe it was too much work for her to handle cos it turns out that this woman always asked my brother to help her out with some of her responsibilities. This meant that she also had to divulge the password to him so he could access the information needed.

Bobo nice, I mean my brother went along with this and at a point she practically handed over the credit operations to him. Stupidly, she didn’t even bother following up on the transactions he made.

Months down the line, auditors were sent to their branch and they noticed some irregularities-a customer had been granted a credit facility of five million naira (=N=5,000,000.00) but this was later reduced to One million naira (=N=1,000,000.00). The paper documents were amended but unfortunately the change was not reflected in the system.

Of course eyebrows were raised and his boss was questioned. This was the point when she should have come clean with the auditors and told them that she had delegated someone else to handle the transaction but no she didn’t! In stead she said someone must have stolen her password and done the transaction without her knowledge. See lie!!!
She didn’t want to admit that she had divulged the password and shifted her responsibility to another. If she had, maybe they would have been able to resolve the issue @ branch level but she didn’t and so the case was taken to the head office.

Interrogations began. My brother owned up that he had handled the transaction but with the consent of his boss and that she gave him the password. Still, the woman refused to accept that she did. She went on with her initial story of "He stole the password".

A panel has been set up by the bank to look into the issue. My brother's colleagues who were aware of everything have assured him that they will testify on his behalf if there is need to. His branch manager is also on his side and he has assured him that there is nothing to fear.

Funny enough, this woman told my brother that she will never agree to the fact that she gave him the password and asked him to handle the transaction because she doesn't want to lose her job. See selfishness! So na my brother na im good to lose im job abi? Ok o! Serious, it baffles me how a respectable (??) married woman like that cannot take responsibility for her actions instead she is looking for someone to bear the brunt of her laziness/stupidity.

When I think about the whole issue I wonder if her conscience does not prick her at all. If she can really go to bed and sleep peacefully knowing that she is about to ruin the career of someone else who was only helping her. If she'll be able to live with her conscience if my brother loses his job on her account. She alone can answer these questions.

Am hoping that the issue is resolved without my brother losing his job.

My brother will never be the scapegoat in Jesus name, Amen.

He need your prayers everyone.

Just for laughs

In a Classroom in Warri, Nigeria:

Teacher: You Boy, spell plantain

Boy: Whish one? The ripe one abi the unripe one?

Teacher: Shuo !! What difference does it make? Just spell plantain!

Boy: Teasha, If you fry the ripe one na 'DODO', if you fry the unripe one na 'SHIPS', if you roast am, na 'BOLI', all of dem na plantain, so whish one you wan make I spell na?!

This post was inspired by KpaKpando's recent post on her blog. .

It's always easy to judge someone else when its not you wearing the shoes and you don’t know where it pinches. Easy to put on that 'holier-than-thou' attitude and condemn someone else's actions. Also very easy to forget that probably if you were in that person's position you may have done even worse.
No one is qualified to judge anyone, Only God.

Read on…….

Ring Ring Ring
That was my phone.
I glanced to see who was calling. It was J.
We had met at the university though we weren't really friends then, just plain hi hi acquaintances. Later we met again while doing our youth service at the same local government and became quite close since then.

"hello J, what's up?"
"Hi Princess, are u in the office? I am coming to see you"
"Yea I am"
"Ok then see you soon"

The first thing I noticed as she walked in was that she had put on some weight. I hadn’t seen her in what? One month! We hugged and she sat down.

"Nne what's been happening to you now? U added weight o!"
"Abi! I just dey my sister" She replied.
We got to catching up on gists and stuff that happened in our lives since we last saw and that was when she started pouring it all out. I don’t know why but most of my friends seem to confide a lot in me. Some have told me that its very easy to talk to me, some say am a very good listener, others say am very motherly. Na them sabi sha, I guess it’s a good thing to be able to listen and give advice to someone who needs it knowing that they trust you well enough to confide in you.

So back to J. I knew she was in a relationship with some guy she had met recently. The last time we met up she had gone on and on about this new guy she was dating who didn’t like to take her out but preferred she spent all the time in his house doing you know what. I had told her to leave him if she felt he wasn’t worth it and when I noticed her reluctance I asked:
"Maybe he is very good at it?'
She giggled and nodded.
It turned out that this guy was very skilled in the art that is played out on the bed(you know what I mean abeg) and that was why my friend was sticking with him.

I listened to her as she went on. Two months into her relationship with this guy, she noticed that her monthly visitor didn't show up as usual. Thinking that it was probably late due to stress (it normally happened that way for her at times), she wasn’t really bothered until one week turned into two then three, four, five, six. She had even begun to put on weight. Worried, she decided to run a test. Test out. It was confirmed, babe was preggers.

She told the guy and as she feared, Bobo was very reluctant and advised her to get rid of it. Thinking about it then, she realized she didn’t even want to marry the guy so she had to do it. Abort the pregnancy.

She had gone ahead to abort it and feeling very guilty and needing someone to talk to. She headed her to my office to share her story. After listening to her, I told her that even though I have been fortunate enough never to have had one(abortion) in my life, I know it was a hard decision for her to take and all she needed was pray about it and God would forgive her. She was surprised when I said I hadn’t had an abortion before and after then seemed quite withdrawn. I guess she felt I was going to look at her in another light because of what she did and put on the attitude but I didn’t and she gradually relaxed. We talked about other things and she left. Now that was years back and we are still good friends up till now.

Why did I have to recount all that.
Well, the point am trying to make here is that just because I was fortunate not to be in her shoes doesn’t mean I am better than she is or I wouldn’t have done what she did.

When we find others in such situations.
It is always better to think:

"There goes I but for the grace of God."

Have a nice weekend everyone.

Spicing up my Blog.

Yea, so i know lots of y'all will be disappointed with this my new template as i have been yakking on how i so needed a new beautiful template like pammys.

I tried. Really i did. I uploaded lots of templates. I had one with birds flying around, a sunset background, roses, fruits, what didnt i try??

Unfortunately after uploading each one and viewing my blog, something was not always right. I even uploaded one nice one that got me finally thinking atlast only to find out that it was the same as Sparkle's and i didnt want to be follow follow so i come delete am sharp sharp.

As i settled for the last one and said to myself:"No more template changing". I discovered that i had a new problem. I couldn't add links. The whole process was too complicated and being the 'uncomplicated' babe that i am. I just couldn't handle it.

Anyway, black is not all that bad. It is actually 'Beautiful' as they say. So am sticking with this black template at least until i get another blog template craze.

Some peeps have actually said that the template doesnt seem like me. According to them am light and colourful not sober like this new one portrays me. What do u think?

Am going to spice up this templates with nice beautiful pictures when i find the time out of my busy work schedule(abeg make una no hold me to this one o!) starting with a shot of mine i just took today. I hope it brightens ur day.

Take care everyone.
